[yep, pretty much. Though her conversation with Damon is leading to her being a bit more careful with her words. Timelines and all that jazz.]
I do. We met very briefly in New Orleans and he's helping my family out of a particular problem we're having with a local group of vampires. He was introduced to me as an old friend of my brother and an ex-lover of my sister, but I've been told that timelines make these relationships complicated.
[After making an emotionally charged call to their brother Rebekah then calls her sister for more feelings. Because that's what you do when suddenly in Wonderland.]
[It has been a long weekend of sleeping curses and trying to circumvent the magic and prevent Cami from having nightmares as a result, but when she hears her sister's voice on the other end of the line, she immediately is pushing to her feet - slowly - and making her way to the door.]
[ what with his elder sister's constant need for free time and tequila, it's never unusual for a day or two to pass without a hello from freya. it is worrying when there is no note on his door letting him know just exactly what she is up to or when she'll be back. the first day without a note and the first night without a peep from her rooms he let pass by; certainly freya was just ensconced elsewhere, perhaps with that charming and unsuitable devil, lucifer.
[And I randomized because that's how I roll: Wizard's Tower, Pirate Ship, and ... Pool of Acid. But she's willing to forgive that one for the second one, which smells of salt and the brine of the ocean, and reminds her of when her father would come back from his long trips away, smelling of the sea and always so happy to see her.
She has something for Bonnie as well, but she would rather give it in person, if possible. She picks up her device and texts back in return.]
[ Merry Christmas! Or late Christmas, because Dustin pretty much slept through it. After a rather jarringly loud fist-pounding knock on Freya’s door, she’ll find a stocking left on the ground. If she's quick enough to answer she can probably recognize curls and a favourite hat turning the corner. The stocking is jammed full of things, including:
1. Air Heads (assorted flavours, but more watermelon because those are the best) 2. A small container with only banana flavoured runts 3. Gummy bears (sour and regular) 4. Bubble tape 5. Caramello 6. Nilla wafers 7. Chupa chups 8. Cow tales 9. Gummy cola 10. Nerds 11. Skittles 12. Sour patch kids 13. Fun Dip 14. Pop Rocks
And lastly, just for her: 15. The fanciest chocolate he can think of.
Propped up is a Christmas card, homemade with probably the worst handwriting known to man: 'Merry Christmas. -Dustin' ]
[She's seen worse. She finds the stocking after she comes back from visiting her siblings at the bonfire, and when she empties it, she doesn't know what ... half of these are. Except the chocolates. That she can figure out.
Look, there are downsides to sleeping for centuries at a time. One of them is not being familiar with candy.
She spends a moment studying the strange packages as she reaches for her device, moving to contact the gifter in question.]
Which one is your favorite? I need to know where to start.
[ they've had one christmas. or two, if they count the first where she watched from afar like a common new orleans witch. (yes, he is teasing.) in many ways klaus considers she has always been with them, whether in spirit or in thought: the lost sister they never had nor knew until now.
and she is here now, for true. despite where they are and the uncertainty they face, there is one thing klaus knows and feels to be certain: he loves his sister and he is glad of her.
after their impromptu, late christmas dinner in the mikaelson common room, there is a present under the decorated tree for freya. it's a small box, wrapped in red, gold, and silver paper, and knotted with a red bow. attached is a note:
For you, my sister, Klaus
inside is a pendant, a dagaz viking rune carved from wood and hanging from a gold chain. ]
Edited 2016-12-29 17:16 (UTC)
through the years we all will be together, if the fates allow | mikaelson christmas
[She smiles softly as she gets to her feet, before making her way over to find her brother and sitting next to him. It's a small gesture, but it still means enough to her all the same. She presses a kiss to his cheek before nodding.]
Thank you.
Christmas Eve will find you where the love light gleams
[Rebekah always wanted a sister, growing up. It was difficult being surrounded by brothers and seemingly the only girl. But little did she know that whole time Freya was in the world, longing for her as well. And now they have one another and it is a bond she would not give up for anything else. She loves Freya fiercly not only because she is blood but because she has put her first in a way none of her other siblings ever have.
And that's important.
So under the tree Freya will find a bag with her name on it. One item in there is a bottle of tequila for their next girls' night, but the other item is a small box containing a bracelt inside. Rebekah has gotten a matching one for herself.
There's also a note.
I wanted to give you something to remind you that no matter what this place throws at us, we are always connected. From one sister to another, Merry Christmas.]

Christmas Eve will find you where the love light gleams
[Rebekah has always been important to Freya, as well. Sisters are a bond that can't be replicated any other way, and she wouldn't replace hers for the world. After working for so long to get to her, you would have to pull Rebekah out of her cold dead hands.
That being said, the bracelet is beautiful and she puts it on immediately before going to find her sister.]
[Being the first of her siblings mirrors she's encountered, she's almost surprised that Klaus' is the first one to reach out to her. Then again, given the events of the last month, she shouldn't really be surprised at all.
She looks up into the mirror, eyeing the writing carefully for a moment, before she decides it may be worth it to engage, just to see what he's after.]
I think you overestimate my abilities to make my brother miserable. Some of his unhappiness is my fault, yes. But all of it? When we've only been in each other's lives for a year, at most?
[ stefan had asked her earlier on what she thought her job was, and although katherine had shut him down as quickly and firmly as she could, she suspects this is it. bridging a gap, filling in the blanks, being the answer to his prayers — that is her job. ]
[ she can be helpful when she wants to be. fortunately for him, she actually wants to be. ]
[ after spending months of wracking her long and tumultuous memory, asking wonderland for books and signs, and even discussing theories with vasilka, she thinks she's come to a conclusion she believes herself to be happy with: involve one of the oldest witches in the mansion, a witch who seems to trust her, and has a maturity about her that katherine knows she's only on the cusp of grasping for herself. tap into her magic, and see if her own idea is what will repair stefan's incredibly patchy memory. ]
[ katherine would do it herself, but the traveler magic she once felt humming tantalisingly under her skin has been dormant for so long. and what she wants to avoid is a hiccup hollywood would write a blockbuster about by trying to summon her own old and forgotten magic using the powers of wonderland. ]
[ asking freya mikaelson for her help isn't akin to pressing a heel sharply into her pride, but it stings just a little. rather than walk to her room, she texts her in the middle of the morning of may fourth. ]
I have a question for you, assuming you may have an answer for me.
[Freya has been working on her own end of things when it came to Stefan's memory, trying to work her way around the potential loopholes of Qetsiyah's spell. The other witch may have a thousand years on her, but Freya is more than just brute power.
[It's a message that she had been both expecting and not at the same time. She had decided to give Elena her time and space, because facing the woman with the face of someone who caused your death is likely never easy. She has to do it with Klaus, time and time again, and Freya is a much fresher wound.
That being said, she looks up from what she's working on and responds, quickly and easily.]
( it doesn't take long for elena to settle back into life at wonderland. it isn't the first time she's been sent home, which helps with the adjustment process. it is the first time she's sent back for that long, however, and the time discrepancy is kind of disorienting. she's doing her rounds, if only to let people know that she's back, and finding freya in the gardens won't be too surprising. it isn't freya who spots her first, at least not right away. it's damon-the-weasel, who ambles his way over.
elena picks him up, and smiles a little to see there's more of him to hold on to. )
Someone's been feeding you well. ( she'd known bonnie's familiar would be in good hands. )
[ after this, klaus swings open the door to his room in search of a certain witch he knows, who may or may not help him with something more or less of a protest, he wagers.
regardless.
as luck would have it, she's just arriving home. ] Ah, Freya. [ klaus' voice has taken on that disarmingly chipper and frightful tone that should alarm everyone. the sharp bite in his otherwise congenial smile doesn't help. ] Just the woman I was looking for. [ he gestures to his open room as if to lead the way. ] I could use a little of your help with something.
[ that something being the bloodied, unconscious, and bitten caroline forbes laid out on their bed as if she is sleeping.
[Freya takes in the scene, making note of the information available before asking her brother a question. Caroline has a broken neck, is covered in blood, and there's a very obvious werewolf bite.
Klaus is the only werewolf in town, unless there's something she missed in the shuffle of things recently.
There's a deep breath, before she turns to her brother, something in her expression already tired.]
I meant to contact you sooner, but recent events have made that difficult. Would you mind if we talked? Nothing onerous, just...girl to girl. Perhaps with libations.
under the tree for freya is a new grimoire with a mikaelson "m" carved into the cover. so is a fleur de lis bangle, and a bottle of top-shelf tequila. )
[IT'S SO SPARKLY OMG. Slipped under her door in return is a spelled Triquerta pendant with a protection charm over it.
SHE'S NOT GOING TO TELL CHLOE WHAT IT DOES but it's tied to her heartbeat, and if it starts to accelerate as a fear response when she's wearing it, it'll trigger a barrier spell. For you to play with as you choose.]
[This is the text Jemma's more nervous about sending -- not because of Freya herself, but more because of the question mark still surrounding what exactly Fitz and Freya had been up to. It's not totally out of the realm of possibility there might have been a part two to what they were doing. A text isn't "involved," right?]
Freya, it's Jemma. Have you seen Fitz since the chess battle? I haven't seen him since midway through.
There was a "part 2" to Freya's plan, and it was followed through with, but Fitz wasn't a part of it. He had done more than enough in the first place, and she wasn't going to put more on him. Still, she doesn't necessarily think it's good that he's disappeared, and she's quick to respond.]
I'm sorry, I haven't seen him. Are all of his things still here?
[He has a new sister and that's weird and different. Kol needs to get to know her and honestly, what better way is there ever to do such a thing than applying alcohol to the situation? Wonderland and all of it's strangeness and oddities aside, sometimes, the normal things need to be held to.
Drinking games were a good source for exactly such a thing. They were fun and educational! The one for this night in particular is Never Have I Ever.
Shot in hand, Kol debates his next question.] Never have I ever...been arrested. [His shot is gone, because if you think this brat has been alive a thousand plus years and hasn't been slapped with the silver bracelets, you're so very incredibly wrong.]
[He's had this idea rattling around in his head since he first arrived, after some of the conversations he'd had with people about the way things work here. But now he thinks he might have an idea about where to go with it-- and who better to ask than his darling eldest sister?]
Sister. How much do you know about the memories being stolen from Wonderland's residents?
Sister, dear. Question for you. Two, I suppose. First: Have you come across other variants of vampires in Wonderland? And second: What do you think are the chances of a daylight ring working on a vampire from another world?
1) Yes, at least three, actually. 2) I think the odds are high? A daylight ring is essentially a protection spell against the sun. It doesn't really matter the type of vampire, only if the sun affects them.
[ As promised at the Wynonna/Doc wedding, Shawn has put together a playlist. He has a thumbdrive and a note that says if this tech is to much let him know and he'll get it to her another way. Also, that these songs are all pulled from the 90s to get them started.
So....things got a bit crazy around Christmas time, what with the Mansion being over-run by entirely too many guests. Most of whom had gone on to return to their normal homes when it was all over-- but not without some very specific bombs having been dropped in their wake.
Kol wastes exactly no time in waltzing into his sister's room as though it's his own. "Sister!" He calls out with absolutely no regard to whether she is there or not, or has company or not. "I think it's time we chat." He says, wandering over to where a decanter of amber liquid rests and pouring himself a glass. He has a feeling he might need it.
She's there. She has no company beyond the Fitz in her closet, because where else is she going to keep him? She is not expecting Kol, however, and when she turns to face him, watching him go right for the alcohol, she knows this is going to be a Conversation.
