[Fortunately, Emma is easy enough to spot. Though the place is mostly full of regulars, the bar itself is pretty sparsely populated at the moment, and Emma herself is seated on a stool near the end, wearing a grimace as she stares hard at her device and scrolls through some of the more recent network messages.

It's been one hell of a week, but she's starting to have no choice but to start trying to wrap her head around some of it.

She looks up when she hears the door open, raising her eyebrows slightly when an unfamiliar woman enters. Freya, maybe?]

[And Freya will make her way over, coming up on Emma's right where she can see an empty stool.]

Emma?

[cursebreaking]

[Emma smiles grimly.]

That's me. I'm guessing the aura of frustration gave me away?

[Well, and the fact that they haven't seen one another in person before, which she figures made it easier for Freya to pick her out.]

More or less.

[She'll keep the tone light before sliding up onto the stool next to her and holding out her hand.]

Freya.

[Since they're meeting officially and all that.]

[Emma reaches out to take the offered hand, giving it a firm shake.]

Nice to put a face to the voice. Sorry, I wasn't really into broadcasting what I looked like on my first day here. Considering I had no idea what the hell was going on, I didn't want to give too much away-- not that I have any better idea now.

[She shakes her head as though to say not to worry about it.]

I did the same when I first arrived. With a world that can bring in literally anyone, you never know who could be waiting for you.

A month ago, I would have gotten up and walked out after hearing a sentence like that.

[Now, not so much.]

Not that I'm about to get my hopes up for any familiar new arrivals. Personally, I'd rather go home.

I think we all would, to a point. But I'm also not so sure it's a conscious choice, at least not by Wonderland. It just grabs from whatever world happens to be nearby.

[A beat.]

Oh, apparently we're moving.

[cursebreaking]

We're moving?

[Her eyebrows both shoot upwards.]

That's one I haven't heard before. I don't think that was in the initial infodump.

[deathlessness]

Oh, it's recent information.

[She pauses for a moment, before she reaches for her device and starts to go through the archives for Shepard's big info dump (because I think that's where it came from), and passes it over to Emma so she can read it.]

Evelyn probably hasn't had the chance to update the pamphlet yet.

[Emma shifts in her seat as she takes Freya's device from her, carefully thumbing through the message she'd pulled up.]

Talk about wild...

[It just keeps getting better and better.]

Glad someone's keeping track of these things, at least.

[She nods.]

Evelyn has been here the longest out of all of us, beyond the residents, at least. And she's a researcher at heart. Collecting information is what she does best.

Good to know. I'll have to look her up sometime.

[If only Emma knew how complicated that had the potential to be.]

I'll have to come up with a better coping method than this sooner or later, but for now... [She grimaces, lifting her glass.] Really does seem like the way to go.

[deathlessness]

[She smirks a bit, before tipping her head to the side.]

One upside to Wonderland is that we're all a bit frozen here.

[She holds up her glass.]

No liver damage.

As perks go, that one doesn't completely suck.

[She doesn't usually consider herself a heavy drinker, but she can absolutely see the appeal at the moment. She moves her glass to toast, her wry smile pulling to one side.]

To preserving our sanity?

[deathlessness]

[She laughs a bit at that.]

To trying to keep Wonderland right side up.

[A near impossible task, but you can try.]
