"We might have an odd view of what's refreshing in terms of horrors faced." He chuckles lightly, grabbing his drink from the table and finishing it off.
She grins before shrugging. "It's easier to effectively plot against something when it doesn't feel quite so personal." Her head is clearer and there aren't the emotion of betrayal and desperation in the mix quite so much. "It's probably why I'm ... content in Wonderland, as well. As messy as the events can be, it's not ... personal."
"Emotions make things so messy." He agrees with a nod. Especially vampire-emotions. Not that those in particular applied to Freya, but she was a Mikaelson and even as a human, those were more than hearty enough to get massively in the way.
"Content." He echoes, shaking his head. "Never would've thought our family could use such a word." Had they ever really been?
"Wonders never cease," she says with a small smirk. "I don't know if 'content' is truly the right word, given that I don't think I've actually experienced it before, but ... it's nice to have some consistency, even if that consistency is Wonderland's ability to be inconsistent."
"Well, it's close as we'll probably ever have to it, so I say it counts." he grins up at her. He may have a hell of a rollercoaster to be staring down, if he ever gets sent home, but something about knowing there is still more left to his story is satisfying to have in his pocket.
She smiles in return, before glancing to her empty glass and getting to her feet. "C'mon. I think there are better things for us to be doing than wallowing in the past slash future. And better things we could be drinking."

There will be drinking. There may be magical alcohol. Hopefully no one will die.
Fingers crossed.
