[That's another shot.] And now we can't even go. I feel cheated, now.

[She purses her lips before shaking her head.]

Me either. Haven't had the time.

When could we, lives we've lived? [He chuckles softly.]

Life always does seem to get in the way of having fun, unfortunately.

I'll drink to that. [And he does. A big one, straight from the bottle, because it deserves it.]

[She smirks a bit as he does that.]

I do envy your constitution in that respect.

[itchtokill]

[He scoffs, half-amused, half self-derisive, and sets the bottle down, laying back against he floor where he was sitting.] Don't bother, I'm hardly enviable, sister.

[deathlessness]

[She gives a small shrug.]

There have been many times where I would have liked to drink myself into oblivion, but have to worry about pesky things like liver failure.

[Not that that ... has stopped her, at times.]

I suppose that does put a damper on things. [But she is a Mikaelson, he doesn't doubt she's given it a good go, anyway.]

[Oh, absolutely. Still, she shrugs.]

All the same, I'll take being mortal and not having to sleep when a year is up over immortality any day.

Fair enough. [He leans back on one arm and tilts his head a bit.] Were you aware at all, when you were-- [A wave of one hand.] in a magic coma?

[deathlessness]

[She gives a small shrug.]

Not really. It often felt like no time had passed at all, but the world changes so much in a hundred years. It's hard not to see the differences.

Being aware and stuck is pretty awful. It took awhile, but a sort of certain level of consciousness slowly slipped back in when I was daggered long enough.

[deathlessness]

[She nods.]

Finn mentioned some of that as well.

[Her hand reaches down to close over the pendant where Finn had been previously and now Elijah slept.]

I was fortunate to keep him close for some time and we had the chance to catch up a bit.

Finn? [He echoes, confusion painting his voice and coloring his features.] He died...over a year ago. The Gilberts and their friends are making habits of taking us out, apparently.

[deathlessness]

[She nods.]

He did. And when our mother began possessing witches in New Orleans, Finn did as well. But he was not stable enough and was making the situation worse, rather than better, so I drew his spirit into this.

[She holds up the pendant for Kol to see.]

Dahlia designed it to hold the spirits of our family.

[itchtokill]

Well, that certain sounds rather par for the course. [He scoffs and shakes his head. The pendant gives him pause and he cants his head a little to one side.] So, is he... [He frowns again, deeper.] Why did she want to do that? [And why is he surprised that his Aunt would join the family business of trying to get rid of them in new and interesting ways?]

She made it originally to help her channel my power while we were bound. I found Finn myself later.

[itchtokill]

Our family sure is something else, innit? [He shakes his head a bit. He has a feeling there is....a lot that Freya still has left to fill him in on, but there's time for it later, when he's more in a mood for such things.]

[deathlessness]

We certainly are all pieces of work in our own way.

[She shrugs.]

I think that's what makes us interesting.

[itchtokill]

[He grins a bit.] Couldn't agree more on that score, sister.
